Xiaomi Launches Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 – Design, Specs, Price & Availability

The wait is now over, as Xiaomi has finally launched its second gaming laptop, the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019, in China over the weekend (on August 4). The Chinese tech giant unveiled three laptop variants under this series.

Despite looking a lot like last year’s model, the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 boasts of some impressively powerful specifications. Talking about the first edition of the laptop, you must be aware of the fact that it has not made it to the Indian market yet, and well, there is no update so far as to whether or not the new device would enter the country.

Offering Intel CPU configurations alongside NVIDIA GPUs, the Mi Gaming laptop 2019 has been released in China for the starting price of RMB 7,499 (approx. INR 76,000).

DESIGN
As mentioned above, the design of the latest gaming laptop is quite reminiscent to that of the 2018 model. It features the same number of ports and vents, the same LED-backlit keyboard layout, and a 15.6-inch display with the same slim bezels. However, you will notice the change in color, which is slightly darker, and even the casing comes with a deeper black shade.

SPECIFICATIONS
While the design aspect may not have anything new to offer, ample specifications of the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 do! As told before, it comes with a 15.6-inch screen that boasts of an 81% screen-to-body ratio and a better refresh rate of 144Hz for a way more enriched gaming experience.

All the variants feature a 4-color LED-backlit keyboard with three different modes. They also include a glass touchpad with multiple gesture controls. The three models have standard dual-band WI-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 2 X 3W speakers, Dolby Audio, and a 1MP HD webcam. Then, there are four USB 3.0 ports, one Ethernet port, one microphone port, one headphone jack, one HDMI output port, and one 3-in-1 card reader.

As claimed by Xiaomi, the new gaming laptops provide up to 4.5 hours of video playback, 4 hours of video streaming, and 4.5 hours of web browsing.

PRICE & AVAILABILITY
All the three variants of the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 come with a different price tag. As already mentioned, while the base model is priced at 7499 Yuan (approx. INR 76,000), the high-end and top variants sell for 8599 Yuan (approx. INR 86,000) and 8999 Yuan (approx. INR 90,000) respectively. You can pre-order the top model on Mi.com.
