A Solos Mode Coming To Apex Legends But Only For Two Weeks

Developer Respawn Entertainment is all set to introduce a new Solos mode in the free-to-play battle royale game, Apex Legends. However, it will be for a limited time – only two weeks, to be precise.

The Solos mode will come to Apex Legends alongside the Iron Crown Collection Event, which will go live on August 13 and remain active until August 27. Until now, the game has allowed players to compete in teams of three. But that is going to change beginning next week for 15 days.

The upcoming mode could just be a trial before Respawn might consider rolling it out as a permanent mode, given of course, it happens to make it big amongst the gaming fans during the next two weeks.

“We’ll talk more about Solos when it’s live and you’ve had a chance to play it. For now, we’re going to put it out there and see what happens and what kind of feedback we get,” Jay Frechette, Community Manager at Respawn, wrote on Reddit.

Season 2 of Apex Legends, along with a new battle pass, was launched on July 2. Respawn confirmed that it will continue for three months, just like the first season. It will be packed with scores of changes including a ranked mode for a more challenging gameplay, and a new battle pass full of cosmetics to unlock.

While the theme of the Season 1 was Wild Frontier that introduced players to a new Legend called Octane, Season 2 is based on Battle Charge featuring a brand new character called Natalie “Wattson” Paquette who damages and slows its rivals using electrified fences.

You can select between ranking up a free or a premium Battle Pass in Apex Legends Season 2. Of course, if you opt for the free version, you will have fewer rewards and a slower progress. To avail the premium pass, you will have to pay 950 Apex Coins, just like in Season 1, which was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 4, 2019.
