To be precise – three days ahead of the official launch!
While Apple’s video gaming subscription service Apple Arcade is scheduled for an official launch on September 19 (Thursday), the company has granted some iOS 13 users an early access to the service.
That’s right. So if you are running the iOS 13 or iOS 13.1 beta, Apple Arcade is now live for you and will accept your subscription. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman first revealed the big news in a tweet, underlining that the subscription gaming service – offering access to dozens of online ad-free games for a monthly fee of $4.99 – is already live for many.

It is to be noted here that the subscribers will ultimately have unlimited access to the entire catalog including over 100 video games. And all these new, exclusive games will be playable across iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple TV. Apple Arcade will make it to iPadOS and tvOS 13 on September 30, and macOS Catalina in October.
Subscriptions are apparently going great guns, as expected, given the one-month free trial that Apple has promised. Over 50 games are available at the launch, and several are lined up to be added to the service soon.
