The esports production company, Beyond the Summit recently announced the fourth edition of their CS:GO event, cs_summit 4. Slated to be held from 23 to 26 May at the cs_summit house in Los Angeles, California, the event will be played out between six teams.
Unlike the first three events where a total of eight teams fought for the winning title, the fourth cs_summit will witness only six teams, which will battle it out for the prize pool of $150,000. The teams include the two current top five sides, Liquid and ENCE. Then, we have two top 10 teams, Vitality and Renegades. The rest of the two teams include the North American favorites, NRG (ranked #11 at the moment) and Ghost (ranked #17).
Here’s the complete list of teams playing at the cs_summit 4 –
Though the organizers haven’t revealed the format of the forthcoming event yet, we are assuming that it won’t be the same as the previous cs_summit events, given the less number of teams this time around. The former events ran as a double-elimination best-of-three bracket.
The cs_summit series has become quite a favourite amongst the die-hard gamers, thanks to all the relaxed, casual and hilarious moments during the competitions that are hard to see during other CS:GO events which are more formal and serous in nature.
NRG walked away victorious at cs_summit 3, and they will certainly attempt to repeat their victory. But given the tough competition as all the teams battling it out at the cs_summit 4 have proved their mettle previously, it is hard to tell which one will bag the winning title.
