It has also collaborated with Black Shark to make Black Shark 2 smartphones as the official gaming devices of the tournament.

“Esports coming to mobile is a natural evolution of the industry and a testament to how important mobile gaming has become,” Damien Marchi, VP of marketing at Gameloft, said in a statement.

The tournament’s first qualification rounds will begin from May 20 for which the top-ranked gamers from nine different countries including France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, the UK and the US will be picked according to their overall rankings. As mentioned before, the grand finale of the tournament will take place in Germany in August.

The winning prize money is $22,500.
