Sad But True! You Won’t Be Able To Preload Borderlands 3 On PC

Ardent gaming fans absolutely love the idea of being able to preload an anticipated video game that they pre-order on PC from digital storefronts like Steam. However, they will be disappointed this time, as there will be no preload capability for the upcoming title Borderlands 3 on the Epic Games Store. This clearly means that if you have been eagerly waiting for this game to release next month because you want to indulge in the exciting gameplay, now you won’t be able to begin playing immediately after it’s out in the market.

For the uninitiated, preloading means you can download a game before it is released and playable. This allows you to begin playing the moment the title is out.

The upcoming action role-playing first-person shooter video game, Borderlands 3 officially went gold last week. Now a timed-exclusive for the Epic Games Store on PC, the game won’t be available on Steam for PC players until April 2020.

When asked about the possibility of preloading the game ahead of its launch, Tim Sweeney of Gearbox Software confirmed on his Twitter page –

Last week, last two character trailers for Borderlands 3 were released – first, highlighting Amara the Siren, who is “a powerful brawler, renowned champion of the people, and bonafide Siren badass,” and second, introducing us to FL4K, the robot Beastmaster, and his three loyal pets. While the formidable Amara has six mystical arms that easily make her character all the more intimidating, FL4K has razor-sharp hunting skills, and he is seen wandering the barren wastelands with his bizarre-looking yet incredibly fearless pets.

Developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games, Borderlands 3 is the sequel to 2012’s Borderlands 2, and the fourth main entry in the Borderlands series. It is all set to launch on September 13, 2019, and will be available on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Epic Games Store.
