Developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision have recently released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot, teasing its multiplayer as well as various other modes, at a huge live-stream event in Los Angeles. Check out all the action right here –
Apart from featuring new weapons, various multiplayer modes that will be part of the game include 2v2 in Gunfight, 6v6, 10v10 and 20v20. Then, there will be 3 Killstreaks including “Juggernaut” assault gear, “Infantry Assault Vehicle” – a small tank equipped with a machine gun of .50 caliber, and the most powerful and dreadful Killstreak – “White Phosphorus.” According to its description, it can “cover the battlefield with white smoke flare canisters that will disorient the enemy, and burn any that wander too close.”
You will also have a weapon customization option in the game called Gunsmithing, which “is a robust weapon customization option for your two main Loadout weapons: Each Primary and Secondary Weapon can be augmented to give you the precise type and style of firepower you require for any type of multiplayer game mode. You can customize up to five parts of each weapon, until your available slots are filled.” And last but not the least, there’s a Ground War mode that will support 100+ players.
“Our goal with Modern Warfare is to bring all gamers together from day one to play together,” said Patrick Kelly, Creative Director and Co-Studio Head at Infinity Ward.
An open beta for Modern Warfare will begin in September to test the game’s cross-play capabilities.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has nothing to do with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which was released 12 years ago, in 2007. It also doesn’t have any connection with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, launched three years back, in 2016. It is very much a new game that features some stark, welcome changes on the multiplayer front along with a more realistic style of single-player campaign.
The game is slated for an October 25 launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
